KSU-EL Main Building

Many of today's students don't realize that the Main Building of the KSU-EL Campus once served as East Liverpool High School. The building was completed in 1914. It was purchased by Kent State in the 1960s and opened as a "branch" campus designed to offer local students the first two years of a university bachelor's degree while living at home. Students were expected to matriculate to the Kent campus for their junior and senior years. This picture is just one of many postcard images of old East Liverpool at the Cleveland Memory Web site.
