"Metaphors of Desire"

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Sociology Professor Jack Vazzana has extended an invitation to the community to attend a photography exhibit at the Mary Patterson building Thursday Sept. 3.

The exhibit will feature what Vazzana describes as "iconographic studies in visual sociology," and the theme is "Metaphors of Desire."

The artist explains the reasoning behind the event: "'Metaphors of Desire' suggests visual icons that , if not met, often devalue one's existential position in personal and social ways that may last a lifetime. On the other hand , they can be entrances to celebrity that are prized and strongly sought after."
