EL student government to regroup

EAST LIVERPOOL – The KSU-EL Student Government Organization President Callen Owens and advisor Sarah Motts will be meeting this week to fill the vacant posts of treasurer, secretary and vice-president.

Although there is a procedure outlined in the provisional constitution filling vacancies, Anthony Underwood, director of enrollment and student services at both KSU county campuses, pointed out that the “constitution did not anticipate being this short of officers.”

Because there is only one SGO member at this time, the choices must be approved by the Student Services office, which will also check each nominee’s eligibility.

Underwood mentioned that the current administration cannot move forward until all of the seats are filled. This delay affects other clubs, he said, because “the student government must approve allocation of all funds.”
