Educational Opportunity Center, and GED classes through Columbiana County Career and
Technical Center.

The purpose of the
OACHE Educational Opportunity Center is to provide services which will increase the college attainment rate in Appalachian Ohio by helping low-income adults, over 19 years of age.
The first priority is to help first-generation higher education students explore career options, choose a college or vocational school, complete admissions and financial aid applications, find scholarships, grants and loans, and learn time management and college survival skills.
The
Educational Opportunity Center also works with local social service agencies to assist students with personal problems that may hinder their educational progress.
For more information, contact Sally Kelly at (330) 382-7404.
The
Community Outreach Center will serve as the location for GED classes which are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September through May.
Once students are prepared, the East Liverpool Campus site will also hold the testing needed to achieve the GED.
Since the program began a little over a year ago, 19 students have earned their GED at this site.
