SALEM -- Student Government Organization President Evie Spence announced that the 4th annual Kids' Fun Fest will be held at KSU Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4p.m.
Anyone can come with their young children aged 1- 13 years to play games including bowling or make crafts such as bead strings, ribbon wands or butterflies. Children can shop for literature through the bookfair and purchase that day, and Clifford will be on site so everyone finally gets to meet him! Hot dogs and chips will be served from 12-2 p.m.
"We have invited representatives from community agencies such as Headstart, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and others to answer questions and provide information. Plus there are so many activities planned, it's hard to name them all," Spence said. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the registration area in the central lounge near the student parking lot entrance.
Spence said, "It will be a day of family fun, parental education and socialization for children. At KSU-Salem we like the opportunity to give back to the community."
Anyone who can volunteer on Saturday or for Friday set-up, please email Spence at espence99@yahoo.com or call the SGO office directly at 330-337-4253. Volunteers are still needed, and if anyone is available at the last minute, just show up.
The event is free and open to the public.
