Sign petition for food variety

SALEM -- Director of Student Services Kristen Toothman announced that the business office is considering options for "alternative food sources" and needs students and personnel to offer feedback.

No official discussion of timeline or what type of food has occured yet. "We are not even at that point," Toothman said, but did say that some sort of licensed vendor who brings prepared food to campus is a likelihood.

A petition at the reception desk is available for students and personnel to both sign their names and offer any support or suggestions until Feb. 5. "We need to gauge demand first" Toothman said.

According to Toothman, the possibilities are limited by sheer space and facility and by contracts with the current vending company that operates the machines in the lounge, but she is confident that this is worth pursuing.
