Free Vaccines: Flu for you

SALEM -- The KSU nursing staff offered the students free 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccines yesterday at in the gym. At noon they had already administered approximately 80 doses, with a projection of 300 total for the day.
Mary Lou Ferranto, R.N., head of the KSU nursing program, said that the "turnout is good."

The event was both a service and a learning experience for the pictured KSU junior and senior BSN students. The vaccine was free and they offered post-injection food as well. The 2009 H1N1 vaccine is new to the market. For more information on this vaccine go to http://www.immunize.org/vis .
